Redirect from Home to Welcome can be skipped
Hi Helge,
I discovered at Appropedia that one can change MediaWiki:Mainpage and cause www.osafa.org to go directly to whatever page one wants without requiring the redirect. (Personally, I find the welcome cleaner without the little redirect message.) Perhaps you know that, but I notice that Mainpage is pointing at Home right now.

- Hi Curt, that's where I changed "Main Page" to "Home". I prefer the redirect (which isn't ideal, I agree), to a long URL like http://www.osafa.org/english/Open_Source_Architecture_for_Africa visible in the browser. I think the URL should hint at the fact that it's the frontpage, thus "Home". A blank URL (www.osafa.org/english/) would be ideal but that doesn't seem to be possible. --Helge 09:37, 4 November 2006 (PST)
